WOW! What is this Voodoo magic?

I was gifted the coolest gift from my daughter…. I don’t know how she does it, but she always seems to find something that is either unique and/or something that I would reallly like. She’s got the gift of gifting :)

Anywho … she has now gifted me a Kodak STEP mini printer. It’s about the size of my phone. It allows me to take a pic with my phone and then print it out in color on sticker paper.

WHY I AM SO EXCITED:

This is solving a huge problem that I have. I keep all notes for my projects in log books … I jot down plans, sketches, firing schedules, notes, etc. BUT to add a pic of the final product, I have to take a pic, print it on my big printer, cut it down, and glue it into the log book. Because that is such a pain in the rear, I rarely have a final product pic make it to the logbook.

NOW with this mini printer, I can take a quick print, and out it comes on a color-printed sticker that I can slap right into the book. YAY!!!!!

VOODOO MAGIC:

Why do I think this is magic? It prints out crisp/color-accurate pics IN COLOR, with ZERO ink technology. WHAT? It's amazing and perfect for my needs. This would also be fun at parties.

EXAMPLE:

The example below is for a very simple project from a few months ago. This is fine, but for such a simple project not much in the way of notes is necessary. However, most of my projects are much more complicated. For instance, the project I am working on now has a great many steps utilizing a multitude of processes. It is very important that I write out the plan, and keep track of all steps, firing schedules, etc.

By using this mini printer, I am able to take pics at each step along the way. This is important to either improve upon or replicate.

OPTIONS:

After being gifted this mini printer, I took a look around and saw there are many mini printer brands out there, some print only in black and white, some in color. I have the Kodak STEP and am very happy with it.
